The SPECTACULAR Holiday Precision Dance Masterclass was a unique opportunity for dancers across the greater Pittsburgh region to train in the iconic style of precision dance with former Radio City Rockette, Jennifer Rias. Hosted on the historic stage of The Palace Theatre, this one-of-a-kind experience brought together aspiring and pre-professional dancers for an immersive look into the technique, discipline, and artistry that define this celebrated performance tradition.
Participants engaged in a high-energy masterclass focused on synchronization, musicality, stamina, and performance quality, while learning choreography inspired by the world-renowned Rockettes. In addition to movement training, dancers gained valuable industry insight through a live Q&A, offering a deeper understanding of the professional pathways within commercial and theatrical dance.
The experience culminated in a final performance on The Palace Theatre stage, giving dancers the opportunity to present their work in a professional setting and experience the expectations, energy, and standards of a live performance environment.
As part of the experience, dancers were captured through professional photo and video, leaving with high-quality media assets to support future portfolios, auditions, and personal branding as emerging artists.
This program was developed as a multi-organizational collaboration between The Academy at Westmoreland Cultural Trust, The Palace Theatre, Seton Hill University, and The Broadway Edge. Under the leadership of Nick Lenz as Program Architect and Creative Director, the initiative was brought to life through strong collaboration across partner organizations.
